Surprise attacks on Israel commenced on October 7, 2023, resulting in over 1,000 casualties. As the country endures ongoing rocket assaults and security threats, there is a call for unwavering support from the United States for its Middle Eastern ally.
Senator Carroll criticized the current U.S. administration's foreign policies, stating: "The Biden Administration's foreign policies have enabled and encouraged our enemies to act out aggressively against our allies." He expressed concerns about domestic issues as well, noting that "Democrats at the federal level have been denying the obvious about the intentions of dictators and terrorists. They've subjected our nation to destructive energy policies in the name of 'climate change,' as well as skyrocketing inflation and federal debt that is destroying the middle-class economy."
Senator Carroll also highlighted concerns regarding national security: "Additionally, their open border policies have weakened the USA in protecting citizens against potential terrorist attacks. Porous borders have most likely aided Iran, China, and Russia to set up their agents inside our country."
He urged Arizonans to remain vigilant and pray for Israel during these challenging times: "Arizonans should pray for our ally Israel, the lives lost and those in harm's way. We also need to be vigilant in these trying times," he said. Reflecting on historical events leading up to midcentury global conflicts, he added: "To predict the future, one only needs to understand the past... God help us."
As a strong advocate for U.S.-Israel relations, Senator Carroll condemned Hamas' attacks on Israel as acts of terrorism without justification. He called upon Arizona citizens to stay alert within their communities while offering prayers for Israel amid uncertain developments.
