Wildlife for Tomorrow has announced that nominations are now open for the 27th annual Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame. This initiative, established in 1998 through a collaboration with the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), seeks to recognize individuals and organizations for their contributions to wildlife conservation, natural resource preservation, and promoting Arizona's outdoor heritage.
Nominations can be submitted by completing an online form, with any additional materials uploaded directly. The deadline for submissions is April 7, 2025. For further inquiries, Rebecca Bouquot can be contacted at info@wildlifefortomorrow.org.
The inductees will be honored at the Outdoor Hall of Fame Induction Banquet this summer, with details about the event to be released soon. Previous inductees include notable figures such as Ben Avery, Barry Goldwater, Morris Udall, John McCain, Bill Quimby, Tom Woods, and Steve Hirsch. Organizations like the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Audubon Arizona have also been recognized.
Wildlife for Tomorrow was founded in 1990 as the Foundation for the Conservation of Arizona’s Wildlife. It operates as an independent nonprofit organization focused on enhancing management and protection efforts for Arizona’s fish and wildlife resources. As AZGFD's official partner, it provides funding to support programs beyond AZGFD’s self-funding capacity.
The organization emphasizes its commitment to supporting projects within Arizona without engaging in regulatory or legislative activities or taking stances on controversial issues. Its mission is to back initiatives that benefit both wildlife and local communities.
