The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) has issued a reminder for hunters who applied for 2025 pronghorn and elk hunts to update their credit or debit card information by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18. This deadline also applies to purchasing the PointGuard product, which allows applicants to surrender their hunt permit-tag for any reason while reinstating bonus points if eligible.
A portal account is no longer required to purchase a PointGuard product. For more information, visit www.azgfd.gov/pointguard.
Additionally, this is the last opportunity for hunters to opt-in to the Arizona E-Tag system before this draw. The mobile app can be downloaded from Apple or Google Play stores, enabling users to receive an electronic hunt permit-tag in their AZGFD portal account. Arizona E-Tag offers real-time delivery of licenses and tags and provides features like electronic tagging of harvested animals and completing hunter questionnaires. Applicants opting in after the deadline will receive a paper hunt permit-tag. More details are available at www.azgfd.gov/etag.
AZGFD emphasizes that customers' portal accounts are the sole source for checking draw results and viewing bonus points. Hunters are encouraged to create a free portal account at accounts.azgfd.com/Account/Register.
Applicants should ensure their payment information is current since declined payments at the time of the draw will result in applications not being processed. Those needing updates due to new cards or changes should visit draw.azgfd.com/Payment/Update with their last name and order number from their draw receipt.
For those unable to locate their receipt, AZGFD offers assistance with updating card information by phone at 602-942-3000, option “5,” during business hours Monday through Friday. Note that AZGFD offices will be closed on February 17 in observance of Presidents Day.
Updating payment information is crucial for each species applied for, especially if multiple applications were submitted using one card. It is advised that relevant banking institutions be informed about potential simultaneous charges from AZGFD.
