A projected three percent of votes in Arizona may have been tainted according to Donald Trump.
“In Arizona, it turns out that 3% of the votes cast in the 100 count vote sampling were tainted or worse. This would be, if carried forward, approximately 90,000 votes more than we would need to win the State. Now we were granted a much larger sample to work with. Wow!” Trump said in a tweet.
Trump recently accused Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, of rushing the vote certification before legal efforts could be exhausted by the campaign.
U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) said the 3 percent figure was based on a random sampling of ballots.
“This 3% came from a court ordered review of 100 random ballots to see if there was fraud. Now that 3% of the ballots were deemed fraudulent a larger audit will be ordered,” Gosar said in a tweet.
The Arizona GOP recently won a challenge to review mail-in and duplicate ballots.
House Speaker David Ralston also recently called for signature verification on ballots.
