The Hassayampa Rest Area on US 60, near Wickenburg, will be closed starting Monday, March 10, for renovations. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) expects the project to be completed by summer 2025.

Renovation plans include upgrades to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and replacement of restroom fixtures. The $500,000 project also involves painting the building and restriping the parking lot.

Public access to restrooms and vehicle parking will be unavailable throughout the renovation period. The Hassayampa Rest Area is located six miles east of Wickenburg, where the nearest facilities can be found.

These improvements are part of ADOT's ongoing efforts to repair and replace infrastructure that has been in place for up to 50 years.
