Salem Media Group announced that Charlie Kirk, host of The Charlie Kirk Show, has become the top conservative podcast in the United States and now holds the position of the second most popular news podcast overall. The announcement was made in a press release on March 27, 2025.
According to a press release by Salem Media Group, Kirk has reached a milestone by becoming the number one conservative podcast in America and the second news podcast overall, as reported by the latest Apple Podcast Ranker. His rise follows his move into the legendary Rush Limbaugh time slot, which was once considered unfillable. Kirk's partnership with Salem Media Group has contributed to his rapid growth, with his audience numbers and engagement seeing significant increases. The show now reaches millions of listeners across radio, podcasts, television, and streaming platforms.
"This isn’t just a win for Charlie," said David Santrella, CEO of Salem Media Group. "This is a defining moment for conservative media. The torch has been passed, and we’re not looking back."
As of March 27, 2025, Kirk's show is set to move into the Dennis Prager time slot starting Monday, airing on more than 200 radio stations, including 18 of the top 20 markets nationwide. This shift follows the show's growth in audience reach and is part of Salem Media Group's broader strategy to expand its presence in conservative media.
"This is just the beginning for us," said Brad Parscale, chief strategy officer at Salem Media Group. "We’re grateful for the trust of our listeners and proud to support talent like Charlie who can connect so deeply with the audience. We’re taking this moment to celebrate but also to stay focused on the work ahead."
